“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”
This means that any school with federal funding prohibits sexual discrimination and has certain responsibilities to protect survivors on academic campuses, or they could lose their funding. Unfortunately, changes to title IX has rolled back protections f
