Chief Development Officer

The Chief Development Officer position is responsible for bringing funding into the EmBark Foundation, Inc. so that we can grow and fulfill our mission. The CDO will lead the design and implementation of strategies to identify funding sources needed to finance the growth and development of our organization. With this, they will help with the creation of the yearly budget and management of goals set forth in the budget. This position will also assist the Chief Operations Officer in corporate and other sponsorships as they relate to fundraising/grants. Lastly, this position will oversee funding associates to assist in fundraising, and our financial officer to assist in the management of money and bookkeeping. This position is an estimated 0-5 hours weekly.  The ideal candidate would have:  - Bachelor's degree in a related field (nonprofit management, social work, finance, etc.), or progress towards one. - Experience in grant writing and fundraising for a nonprofit organization - Background or experience in the development of an organization, initiative, or project  - Have a connection to our mission of serving survivors of DV/IPV, sexual assault, and child abuse as well as rescue animals!  Preferably from a diverse background (BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks are strongly encouraged to apply) - Located in WI (Milwaukee or Madison). This is not required as this is a remote position.

Survivor Support Specialist

The survivor support specialist is the center of everything that we do at the EmBark Foundation. They will be in charge of receiving all of our survivor support applications which include adoptions, adoption packages, vet bill reimbursements, ESA certifications, pet care packages, and survivor care packages. They will walk each survivor through the process of services requested while following our policies and guidelines. Our goal is to help survivors in any way that we can. This position is an estimated 0-5 hours weekly.  The ideal candidate would have:  - A bachelor's degree, or progress toward one - Background or experience in social work, human services, and/or nonprofits - Knowledge of ownership of animals so you can best filter who to approve for our services - Preferably from a diverse background (BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks are strongly encouraged to apply) - Have a connection to our mission and serving survivors of DV/IPV, sexual assault, and child abuse - Located in WI (Milwaukee or Madison). This is preferred not required as this is a remote position.

Financial Officer

The financial officer will be the official bookkeeper of the EmBark Foundation, making sure that all of our expenses are accounted for. This position will handle everything that relates to cash flow in and out of the organization. The financial officer will also be integral to the creation of our yearly budget. This position is an estimated 0-5 hours weekly.  The ideal candidate would have:  - Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or progress towards one - A background in accounting or finance, preferably in a nonprofit (have knowledge of the 80/20 rule) - Have experience working for a nonprofit  - Have a connection to our mission of serving survivors of DV/IPV, sexual assault, and child abuse as well as rescue animals!  - Preferably from a diverse background (BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks are strongly encouraged to apply) - Located in WI (Milwaukee or Madison). This is not required as this is a remote position.

Event Coordinator

The event coordinator will be in charge of finding events to participate in or creating events of our own. In this, they will delegate tasks to volunteers, apply for funding through sponsorships and grants, and thoroughly plan to make the event successful. Event Coordinators can be involved in more than just physical event opportunities but also help participate in online events or campaigns. The ultimate goal of participating and hosting events is to bring in more funds for our mission and spread the message about our mission.

Funding Associate

Under the direction of our Chief Development Officer and our Chief Executive Officer, Sammy, the Funding Associate will participate in fundraisers, campaigns, and grant writing to help EmBark achieve its funding goals for 2024! This position is an estimated 0-5 hours a week. Responsibilities  - Collaborate with CCO and Social Media Content Coordinators to facilitate fundraising campaigns on social media and email. - Work with CDO to apply for corporate donations and/or gain other forms of corporate sponsorship  - Research and apply for grants relevant to the current needs of EmBark  - Work with CEO to report back to grant funders on how money was spent  - Work with our Event Coordinator and Chapter Supervisor, Abby, to apply for event-related funding
