It's a tough time for everyone, and that can make it extra hard to take that reflective time to realize how far you've come, and how much you've managed to accomplish - even if it doesn't feel like enough. Here at EmBark we want to remind you to make that time to reflect on your personal growth. It is so important to do that - and I guarantee you will be proud of yourself for something.
I asked our other team members to send me a short sentence or two of what they are most proud of themselves for this summer, and this is what I heard back:
"I am most proud of the time and effort I put into listening to my heart without judgement. I found this practice to be INCREDIBLY freeing and beneficial to my mental health." - Abby our CCO
"My most proud moment of the summer was getting EmBark 501(c)(3) approval. It made my position as CEO feel solidified as this was a major accomplishment for the Foundation. Another proud moment was my first day at my internship in the capital working for Senator LaTonya Johnson. It felt amazing to be in an office with fellow social workers, seeking to empower and help a community who truly needs it. Not going to lie, I teared up a little bit when both of these moments happened!" - Sammy our CEO
And from me, your COO - "I am most proud of myself for finally growing to the point where I am capable of feeling proud of myself. I am most proud of myself for constantly reflecting on things I have been growing at, and also things I need to actively work on to become a better person. I am proud of myself for finally believing in myself and recognizing that while I am not perfect and won't ever be, I do matter. It sounds a little silly writing it down, but it took me a long time to reach this point, and I am so glad that I am where I am."
Check back to this post to see more members moments of pride in themselves, as I will be updating this post as they come in.
What are you most proud of yourself for at this moment in time?
Whether you share this with us or not, I urge you to take a moment to reflect on that yourself.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
