This weekend we teamed up with FUMC and the Social Justice Hub at UW Madison to volunteer at a local food shelf. We spent Saturday morning greeting those in need, packaging and handing out groceries and hot meals.
Homeless people, or those in shelters, experience a higher level of mental illness. Many have experience violence that has contributed to their housing needs as well. EmBark wants to support all survivors and make a difference every way we can.
Since our first food shelf volunteering event was so successful, we will be inviting members to continue volunteering every month.
XOXO,
Holly Muth
